ForumSamba macht Probleme seit Umstellung

Hallo!

Ich habe vor einiger Zeit mein Samba 3.0.22 unter Debian 4.0 vom der herkömlichen
smbpasswd Passwortverwaltung auf die neuere tdbsam umgestellt, mit dem Hintergedanken, dass ich ein besseres Passwortmanagement bieten kann.
Doch bisher habe ich leider feststellen müssen, dass 3 von 5 Profilen nicht mehr ordnungsgemäß gespeichert werden.
Windows schreibt beim abmelden keine Fehlermeldung meldet sich aber erstaunlich schnell ab. Darum wollte ich mal fragen was ich tun kann damit das unter tdbsam genauso gut funktioniert mit den Profilen, wie auch unter smbpasswd.

Das störende konkret:
Firefox schreibt nach jeder Neuanmeldung das er aktualisiert worden sei.
Azureus will Datein downloaden, die schon längst downgeloadet worden sind und
das Hintergrundbild bleibt leider auch nicht immer erhalten.

Was ich bis jetzt probiert habe:

Das Profil neu anzulegen und das alte gänzlich zu vernichten bis auf die Outlookdatei, die Firefox datei und die Eigenen Datein.

Ich hoffe es kann mir jemand weiter helfen.

Hi Clemens,

an Deiner Stelle würde ich die folgenden Änderungen in der smb.conf vornehmen:

log file = /var/log/samba/%U.log
log level = 4
max log size = 1000

Damit erhälst du für jeden Benutzer eine Logdatei und kannst Dir das Problem bei Loglevel 4 genauer anschauen. Bei diesem Loglevel solltest sehen, ob der Samba irgendwelche Probleme hat oder ob Windows versucht auf Dateien zuzugreifen, die es gar nicht gibt.
Bei einer “max log size” von 1000 KB rotiert der Samba die Logdateien auch nicht zu schnell

Ich kann mir eigentlich nicht vorstellen, daß Deine Probleme wirklich etwas mit der tdbsam/smbpasswd zu tun haben.

Hallo Clemens,

die Auszüge aus der Logdatei scheinen ja nur den Anmeldevorgang zu betreffen, während Du im ersten Posting geschrieben hattest, daß die Abmeldung schnell vor sich geht.

Daher mein Vorschlag:

1. Melden Dich ganz normal an.
2. Lösche auf dem Samba die Logdatei /var/log/samba/clemens.log
3. Melde Dich unter Windows ab, dann schreibt der Samba die Logdatei neu.
4. Wenn der Abmeldevorgang abgeschlossen ist, komprimierst Du die Logdatei mit bzip2 und schickst Sie mir an die Adresse service (at) in-put.de

Das Problem hat sich erledigt. Habe einfach samba geupgradet. Mein Profil komplett neu erstellt und nur mehr die Outlook Datei, sowie die Eigenen Datein übernommen.
Meine Bookmarks aus dem alten Firefox Profil habe ich importiert.

So lassen sich auch Probleme lösen.
Aber trotzdem Danke für deine Hilfe.

P.S.: Jetzt nach dem Update habe ich dafür ein anderes Linux Problem. Aber dafür werde ich wohl oder übel einen neuen Thread erstellen müssen.
