Hallo ihr Spezis,
ich habe mir Suse 10 Enterprice Desktop 10 installiert.
Bei der installation habe ich mich bei Novell registriert und dadurch über das Online Update die aktuellsten Nvidia Treiber für meine Geforce 4 mx 460 verpasst bekommen. für die XGL unterstützung.
Folgende Treiber wurden installiert:
nvidia-gfx-kmp-default >> NVIDIA gfx driver kernel module
x11-video-nvidia >>nvidia GL driver
xorg-x11-driver-video-nvidia >> NVIDIA Video dummy driver
xorg-x11-server-glx YYGLX-Erweiterung und NVIDIA-Dummy Treiber-Module
Nach dem erfolgtem onlineupdate und erfolgreichen installation, startete das System neu und als Sax oder X11 startet blieb der Bildschirm Schwarz.
Worann kann das liegen?
Habe jetzt erstmal im Failsave gebootet und die Nvidia mini Treiber geladen, damit das System wenigstens erstmal läuft. Da ist aber keine 3D unterstützung mit bei.
Auch wenn ich Sax2 mit -r m 0=nvidia versuche zu starten, bleibt der Bildschirm schwarz.
Ich hoffe Ihr könnt mir dabei helfen???!!!

zum Installieren von Hand:
1. Kernel Source rpm installieren (in YaST nach source oder kernel suchen)
2. cd /usr/src/linux- && cp /proc/config.gz .config.gz && gunzip .config.gz && make oldconfig && make bzImage modules modules_install
2.1. sollte wohl so etwas wie 2.6.16.21-0.15 sein
2.2. das make würde den kompletten Kernel neu bauen – dies ist normal nicht nötig. jedoch erzeugt er hierbei direkt am Anfang ein paar Files die für das Bauen eigenener Module notwendig sind
3. nvidia-installer noch mal testen
