Der Drucker hat Windows XP, 7 und 8 überlebt und selbst meine Installation als Linux-Dilettant auf Zorin OS 16.2, selbst noch das Upgrade im Hintergrund auf 16.3. Kürzlich hatte er erstmals einen Papierstau erlebt, der leicht zu reparieren war. Nur bin ich überflüssigerweise dem Ratschlag gefolgt, ihn dafür kurz vom Netz zu nehmen. Seitdem ist der Ofen aus. Nachdem ich den Stecker wieder eingesteckt habe gelangen die Druckerbefehle offenbar nicht mehr an das Gerät. Der Drucker wird weiterhin erkannt, ist offenbar bereit, augenscheinlich alles wie zuvor, nur dass er jetzt einfach nicht mehr druckt. Nicht unerwähnt sollte bleiben, dass ich ihn zwischenzeitlich zigmal rauf und runter installiert habe gemäß den etlichen Installationsanleitungen im Netz, mit und auch ohne Terminal, habe sogar Zorin OS neu installiert, in der Hoffnung, den Fehler damit irgendwie zu überlisten – mit dem gleichen Resultat. \\\”Warte, dass der Drucker freigegeben wird\\\” oder so ähnlich lautet der Spruch bei jedem Druckbefehl, bis ich ihn dann selbst abbreche. War sogar erstmals auf der Cups bzw. localhost Seite (was bei der Erstinstallation gar nicht nötig war, weil, wie gesagt, alles tadellos funktionierte) – dort dasselbe Bild. Allerdings, auch schon bei der gelungenen Erstinstallation, wird eigenmächtig ein zweiter Drucker angelegt, der zu vernachlässigen ist und ohnehin nicht funktioniert. Selbst wenn ich diesen \\\”Geister-Drucker\\\” lösche, ist er bald wieder aufgelistet. Selbst das bordeigene Hilfsmittel bzgl. Fehlerermittlung resümiert letztlich achselzuckend: da kann man nichts machen und kreiert eine Datenliste, mit der ich natürlich hoffnungslos überfordert bin. Ich bin lediglich ein halbgebilderter Nutzer, der bislang noch immer eine Lösung dank gewachsener Nutzerfreundlichkeit – eben jetzt auch bei Linux dank Distributionen wie Zorin OS – gefunden hat. Bislang… Vielleicht fällt ja hier einem erfahrenerem Nutzer noch etwas ein. Habe auch schon an Fernwartung gedacht. Was ist davon zu halten bei diesem Problem?
Die Details zu meinem System folgen hier, obwohl die bestimmt etwas zuviel sein dürften, weil es sich womöglich nur um einen kleinen Kniff in Sachen Druckerkonfiguration gehen wird.
